Audi folding key and key fob. If you have a 1997 without the folding key,
you can purchase one and program it to work with your car even
though the dealer might tell you that it can't be done.
There is additional information on using the ross-tech or VAG scan tool in the Bently under Body, Body On Board Diagnostic (OBD). That information in the Bently will show how many key fobs are preprogrammed, etc. However, to program a key fob, the following procedure and an extra key is all that is needed.
